Energy Report: Welcome, Autumn

The energies of autumn, being a time when the dimensional veil becomes thin, allow us to connect with the cycles related to death — to what withers, to the act of letting go. These cycles are as important as birth itself and what we consider new.

The moons of October, also very powerful in energy, allow us to purge and purify the things we’ve been working on — both in this year and in the past ones — the deep processes we’ve had to face, such as losses in personal relationships as well as symbolic ones.

Although loss may seem like something negative, it is always extremely powerful. It reminds us why we are here, why letting go is necessary, and that this human experience is valid even when there is suffering involved.

Pain has its place. The key is

being able to transform it into knowledge that serves us both in this plane and in others. Pain itself is not negative; it can become a tool we use either for or against ourselves. This, however, is only possible when it is lived freely. When we try to suppress pain, we only make it stronger and turn it into suffering. Living through it makes us stronger in the face of the adversities of this dual-natured world.

Before receiving rebirth, we must first welcome death.

If you are someone who knows you have psychic gifts and heightened intuition, this is a good time to set fear aside and explore more deeply. Intuition, after all, is subtle, but times like these — when the veil is thin — allow us to perceive more than usual and to feel with greater depth.

Even though this season is often associated with the macabre, it is quite the opposite. In ancient Mexico, it was welcomed with celebration and regarded as an important time of harvest in different parts of the world.

Just as we see vegetation wither, we too can experience this symbolically — and even physically. Some may feel greater sensitivity in the body, as if they were stiff or had done a lot of physical activity. These sensations are usually mild, but it’s important to move that energy literally, by moving the body. If you’re not used to exercising, this season might push you to move more, and the cooler weather makes it easier.

Drinking plenty of water is not only a medical recommendation — it’s also an energetic one. Staying hydrated protects you from multiple energies and helps your inner energy flow more harmoniously. It also eases energetic symptoms, especially during full moons.

Do not fear death or the act of withering. If there is something powerful in our human experience, it is this: facing death in order to release, to let go, and to welcome new cycles and paths.

And don’t forget to receive with love and joy the delicious foods brought by the autumn harvest — pumpkin sweets, sugar skulls, and cinnamon — all of which help us process loss with more ease and bring warmth to the heart and soul.

Welcome, autumn. Welcome, death.
